Description

Create your own fun and glowing bounce balls using cornstarch and tonic water.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup tonic water (for glow effect)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • Glow-in-the-dark paint (non-toxic)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix the cornstarch and water until a thick paste forms.
  2. Add the tonic water, sugar, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  3. Divide the mixture into smaller portions and add different food coloring to each portion to create vibrant colors.
  4. Knead each colored portion until the color is evenly distributed.
  5. Roll each portion into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  6. Using a brush, lightly coat each ball with non-toxic glow-in-the-dark paint.
  7. Allow the balls to dry for about 10 minutes.
  8. Once dry, bounce and enjoy the glowing effect in a dark room!

Notes

  • Ensure all materials are non-toxic, especially if children are involved.
  • Experiment with different colors and effects by mixing food coloring.
