Create your own colorful space rocket night lights using toilet rolls and art materials for a fun and creative project.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1–2 toilet paper rolls (or kitchen paper roll cut in half)
- Colored paper (red, blue, silver, yellow) or paint
- Scissors & glue stick
- Aluminum foil (for shiny rocket parts)
- Tissue paper or cellophane (orange, red, yellow – for flames)
- Small LED tea light or fairy light (battery-operated, safe for kids)
- Black marker or stickers (for windows & details)
Instructions
- Cover the toilet roll with colored paper or paint it silver/white to create the rocket body.
- Cut a circle from colored paper, roll it into a cone, and glue it on top of the roll as the rocket’s nose.
- Use foil, markers, or stickers to add windows, doors, and space designs.
- Cut strips of red, orange, and yellow tissue paper and glue them inside the bottom of the roll to represent rocket flames.
- Place a battery-operated LED tea light or small fairy light inside the roll to make it glow.
- Display the glowing rockets on a nightstand or shelf for a dreamy bedtime atmosphere.
