Description

A quick and comforting garlic bread topped with fresh tomatoes, basil, and garlic, baked until golden and perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of bread (French or Italian)
  • 2 cups fresh tomatoes, diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine diced tomatoes, basil, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Stir gently.
  3. Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise.
  4. Spread the tomato mixture evenly on each half of the bread.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top, if using.
  6. Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy.
  7. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then slice and serve.

Notes

For best results, avoid overloading with tomatoes to prevent sogginess. Let bread rest for a few minutes before slicing.
