Ingredients

Scale

1 box strawberry cake mix (heat-treated)

1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed

4 oz cream cheese, softened

½ cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1½ cups mini marshmallows

½ cup Valentine’s sprinkles (plus extra for topping)

Instructions

Heat-treat the cake mix by spreading it on a baking sheet and baking at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes. Let it cool completely. ⏱️ 5 minutes

Beat the softened cream cheese in a mixing bowl until smooth and fluffy. ⏱️ 2 minutes

Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy and well combined. ⏱️ 1 minute

Gradually beat in the cooled cake mix until fully blended and smooth. ⏱️ 3 minutes

Fold in the whipped topping gently to keep it light and airy. ⏱️ 2 minutes

Stir in mini marshmallows and Valentine’s sprinkles for texture and color. ⏱️ 1 minute

Transfer to a serving bowl, top with extra sprinkles, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving. ⏱️ Chill 1 hour

Notes

Make sure the cake mix is heat-treated for safety.

Chill for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to develop and fluff to firm up.

You can swap strawberry cake mix with red velvet or funfetti for different themes.

Great for parties, potlucks, and holiday dessert tables.

Serve with graham crackers, wafers, or fresh strawberries for dipping.
