- 1 banana, sliced for garnish
- 1/4 cup whole or halved walnuts for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare two 8-inch round cake pans by greasing and flouring them to prevent sticking.

- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, fully incorporating each before the next.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Mix in the sour cream and mashed bananas until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped walnuts and white chocolate chips gently.
- Divide the batter between the two prepared pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Fill and top with creamy custard, garnishing with sliced banana and walnuts.
Notes
Ensure bananas are ripe for optimal sweetness. You can substitute walnuts with pecans or omit them altogether.
