- 2 slices Thick-Sliced White Bread
- 2 slices Thinly Sliced Ham
- 2 slices Thinly Sliced Turkey
- 1 slice Swiss Cheese
- 1 slice American Cheese
- 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1 Large Egg
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 3 cups Vegetable Oil (for frying)
- 2 tbsp Powdered Sugar (for dusting)
- 1/4 cup Raspberry Jam (for dipping)
Instructions
- Assemble the sandwich by layering ham and Swiss cheese on one slice of bread, and turkey and American cheese on the second slice. Press together firmly.
- Secure with toothpicks and cut into triangles.
- Make the batter by whisking together flour, baking powder, salt, egg, and milk until smooth.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet to 350–365°F (175–185°C).
- Coat each sandwich half in batter and fry for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Drain on a wire rack and remove toothpicks.
- Serve with powdered sugar dusted on top and raspberry jam on the side.
Notes
For best results, chill the assembled sandwich briefly before frying for neater frying. Customize with different meats or add mustard for extra flavor.
