- 4 large eggs
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil

- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups cherries (pitted and halved)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
- Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Beat the eggs and sugar in a separate bowl with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
- Mix in the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the cake springs back when touched.
- Cool the cake for a few minutes, then carefully roll it with the parchment paper.
- Whip the heavy cream to soft peaks with an electric mixer.
- Unroll the cooled cake, spread whipped cream over it, and scatter the halved cherries.
- Roll the cake back up tightly and refrigerate for at least one hour.
- Slice the roll into rounds, dust with powdered sugar, and serve.
