Description
Indulge in layers of creamy cheesecake filled with apple chunks and drizzled with caramel, perfect for autumn gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups apples, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your 9×13 inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
- Create the crust: In a bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until mixed evenly. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared dish to form a solid crust.
- Whip the filling: In another bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy and smooth. Add the eggs, one at a time, incorporating each fully before adding the next.
- Fold in the chopped apples and sprinkle in the cinnamon, mixing just until everything is evenly distributed throughout the cream cheese mixture. Pour this velvety mixture over the crust.
- Add the caramel sauce over the cream cheese mixture, using a knife or a toothpick to swirl it into the batter.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until set and lightly golden on the surface.
- Cool the bars in the dish before refrigerating for at least 2 hours to help them set up properly.
Notes
These bars can be made a day ahead and refrigerated overnight for added flavor. For a twist, try adding nuts or caramel apple pie filling.
