Description

Indulge in layers of creamy cheesecake filled with apple chunks and drizzled with caramel, perfect for autumn gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your 9×13 inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. Create the crust: In a bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until mixed evenly. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared dish to form a solid crust.
  3. Whip the filling: In another bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy and smooth. Add the eggs, one at a time, incorporating each fully before adding the next.
  4. Fold in the chopped apples and sprinkle in the cinnamon, mixing just until everything is evenly distributed throughout the cream cheese mixture. Pour this velvety mixture over the crust.
  5. Add the caramel sauce over the cream cheese mixture, using a knife or a toothpick to swirl it into the batter.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until set and lightly golden on the surface.
  7. Cool the bars in the dish before refrigerating for at least 2 hours to help them set up properly.

Notes

These bars can be made a day ahead and refrigerated overnight for added flavor. For a twist, try adding nuts or caramel apple pie filling.
