- 8 soft buns or dinner rolls
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha (optional)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder or 2 minced garlic cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (optional)
- 2 tablespoons sweet corn or diced jalapeños (optional)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Combine the cooked chicken with mayonnaise, chili sauce, Sriracha, garlic, paprika, black pepper, and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Fold in the mozzarella and cheddar cheese along with optional ingredients like green onions, corn, or jalapeños.
- Slice each bun open without cutting all the way through.
- Spoon the chicken mixture into each bun.
- Arrange the stuffed buns on the baking tray and brush the tops with melted butter.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown and the cheese melts.
- Let the buns rest for 3–5 minutes before serving.
Notes
These buns can be made in an air fryer. Prepare in advance and store the filling in the refrigerator for easy assembly.
