Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- Combine the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter in a mixing bowl until fully mixed. Press this mixture into the bottom of your springform pan.
- Beat the softened cream cheese and sugar together in another bowl until creamy and smooth.
- Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Fold in the sour cream, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and orange zest until combined.
- Pour the cheesecake batter over the prepared crust and smooth the top.
- Bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until the center is just set but slightly jiggly.
- Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside with the door ajar for 1 hour.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- Garnish with fresh orange slices and chocolate shavings before serving.
