Description

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 4 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/2 cup sugar, and melted butter in a bowl.
  3. Press this mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  4. Beat the cream cheese in a large mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
  5. Gradually add 1 cup sugar and the vanilla extract, mixing well.
  6. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  7. Pour the batter over the prepared crust and spread it evenly with a spatula.
  8. Bake for 1 hour, until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
  9. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for an additional hour.
  10. Cool to room temperature before refrigerating for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
