Description

Tender and juicy meatballs simmered in a rich barbecue and grape jelly sauce, perfect for family gatherings or weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup grape jelly

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients in a large bowl, gently mixing together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, egg, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about one inch in diameter.
  3. Prepare the sauce by whisking together the barbecue sauce and grape jelly in a different bowl.
  4. Layer the meatballs in a single layer in the crockpot and pour the sauce over them.
  5. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Serve hot, either over rice or as an appetizer.

Notes

You can prepare and freeze the meatballs in advance. Reheat in the crockpot to enjoy later.
