Description

A vibrant side dish of crisp green beans and earthy cremini mushrooms sautéed in garlic-infused butter, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, halved
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp chopped fresh rosemary

Instructions

  1. Blanch the green beans: Bring a pot of salted water to a gentle boil. Add the green beans, allowing them to cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté the mushrooms: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Add the halved mushrooms and sauté for 5 to 6 minutes.
  3. Add the garlic: Lower the heat and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic. Stir for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  4. Combine green beans and season: Add the blanched green beans to the skillet and toss with mushrooms and garlic butter. Sprinkle in salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. Finish and serve: Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle with grated parmesan, parsley, and rosemary. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, avoid overcooking the green beans or burning the garlic.
