Description
A rich and indulgent cake featuring a creamy filling and a crunchy pecan topping, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your 9×13 inch baking dish, ensuring it’s well-coated to prevent sticking.
- Combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg in a mixing bowl. Stir until they blend into a thick, crumbly texture. Press this mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form your crust.
- Beat the softened cream cheese in a separate bowl until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until fully incorporated. Add the remaining 2 eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well until silky.
- Fold in the chopped pecans, making sure they are evenly distributed. Pour this cream cheese mixture over the cake crust, smoothing it out.
- Bake for about 40-45 minutes, watching closely as the edges turn golden while the center remains slightly gooey.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
Notes
Pair with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a delightful contrast.
