- 2 slices sourdough bread
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 2 slices cooked bacon
- 2 slices thinly sliced beef
- 1 medium apple, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons hot honey
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients by grating the sharp cheddar, patting apple slices dry, and having cooked bacon and thinly sliced beef ready.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and spread a thin layer of butter on the outside of two slices of sourdough bread.
- Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in the preheated skillet, and layer with grated cheddar, bacon, beef, apple slices, and drizzle hot honey over the apples.
- Top with the second slice of bread, butter side up, and press gently with a spatula.
- Cook until the bottom is golden brown (about 3-4 minutes), then flip and cook the other side until cheese melts (another 2-4 minutes).
- Remove from the skillet, let rest for 1-2 minutes to set slightly, slice on the diagonal, and serve warm with an extra drizzle of hot honey if desired.
Notes
For the best texture, pre-grate the cheese and dry apple slices thoroughly. Let the sandwich rest after cooking to prevent molten cheese from spilling out.
