Description

A delightful cheesecake combining the rich flavors of baklava with creamy cheesecake, topped with honey and pistachios.


Ingredients

  • 9 graham crackers, crushed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 cup pistachios, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup phyllo dough, chopped (optional for topping)
  • Additional honey for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Prepare the crust by mixing crushed graham crackers and melted butter, then pressing firmly into the bottom of a springform pan.
  3. Mix the filling by beating the cream cheese until smooth and creamy, then adding sour cream, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Incorporate honey, chopped pistachios, and cinnamon gently into the filling.
  5. Pour the filling into the prepared crust and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until edges are set with a slight jiggle in the center.
  7. Cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight preferred).
  8. Serve with optional chopped phyllo and drizzle additional honey before slicing.

Notes
