Description

A delightful dessert featuring rich chocolate mousse, fresh cherries, and creamy whipped topping, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups Fresh Sweet Cherries (Pitted and halved)
  • 2 tablespoons Maple Syrup
  • 2 medium Ripe Avocados
  • 1 cup Melted Dairy-Free Chocolate
  • 1/2 cup Dairy-Free Milk
  • 1/4 cup Dutch-Process Cocoa Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (Optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Espresso Powder (Optional)
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 cup Dairy-Free Whipped Cream
  • 1 tablespoon Chocolate Shavings/Chips (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cherries by washing, pitting, and halving them. Toss in a bowl with maple syrup.
  2. Blend the mousse by combining avocados, melted chocolate, dairy-free milk, cocoa powder, (optional) vanilla, (optional) espresso powder, and salt in a food processor.
  3. Layer the chocolate mousse at the bottom of serving cups.
  4. Add the maple-infused cherries on top of the mousse layer.
  5. Finish with a dollop of dairy-free whipped cream.
  6. Garnish with chocolate shavings or chips.
  7. Chill the dessert cups in the fridge for at least 1 hour to set.

Notes

Make the chocolate mousse a day in advance for convenience, and avoid using overripe avocados for the best texture.
