Description

Juicy Sicilian pork chops marinated in vibrant Mediterranean flavors, delivering tender meat with a crisp exterior.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pieces Bone-in Pork Chops (1-inch thick)
  • 4 cloves Garlic (Freshly minced)
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley (Chopped)
  • 2 teaspoons Fresh Rosemary
  • 2 teaspoons Fresh Oregano
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Zest
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice (Fresh)
  • 3 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt (Kosher or sea salt)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper (Freshly cracked)
  • 2 slices Lemon Slices (Optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Herbs (Extra parsley or rosemary for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Make the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine the minced garlic, chopped parsley, rosemary, oregano, lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well mixed and fragrant.
  2. Marinate the Pork: Place your pork chops in a large resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chops, ensuring they’re well coated. Seal or cover, letting it marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes—longer if time allows.
  3. Preheat Your Skillet: Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Once sizzling hot, add a little extra olive oil for a non-stick surface.
  4. Sear the Chops: Remove your pork from the marinade, letting excess drip off. Sear the chops for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they’re beautifully caramelized. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness—it should read 145°F.
  5. Rest and Garnish: Once cooked through, transfer the pork chops onto a plate and let them rest for about 5 minutes. This allows juices to redistribute, ensuring juicy bites. Toss with extra parsley or rosemary for garnish.

Notes

Marinate the pork the night before for deeper flavors. Can use an air fryer or oven for cooking.
