Description

A delightful layered cake combining vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate flavors, perfect for celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup strawberries, pureed
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • Food coloring (red and yellow)
  • Chocolate frosting (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three round cake pans.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamed butter and sugar, alternating with the milk.
  6. Divide the batter into three bowls, keeping one plain, adding strawberry puree to the second, and cocoa powder to the third.
  7. Pour each batter into prepared pans and smooth the tops.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
  10. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form for frosting.
  11. Assemble the cake, layering with whipped cream in between each cake layer.
  12. Frost with chocolate frosting on top and sides.
