- 1 can Dr Pepper
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 package instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 pre-made graham cracker crust
- 1 cup whipped topping
- 1/4 cup sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Pour the can of Dr Pepper into a saucepan and heat over medium. Allow it to simmer gently, stirring occasionally, until the liquid reduces by about a third, thickening slightly. Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
- In a large bowl, use your electric mixer or a whisk to whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Combine the instant vanilla pudding mix with the cooled Dr Pepper reduction in another bowl, stirring until smooth and well blended.
- Gently add the whipped cream to the pudding mixture, folding carefully to maintain the light texture.
- Pour the creamy filling into the pre-made graham cracker crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Refrigerate the pie for at least 240 minutes, or until set.
- Slice into the pie and serve topped with extra whipped cream if desired.
Notes
Chill mixing bowls and beaters in the freezer for about 10 minutes before whipping the cream for best results.
