- 5 pounds red potatoes (sliced thinly or cut into cubes)
- 1 onion (chopped finely)
- 1 slice of bacon (diced)
- 1/2 cup butter (cubed)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Prepare your baking dish: Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Arrange the potato slices or cubes evenly in the greased dish.
- Add chopped onions and diced bacon on top of the potatoes.
- Top with cubed butter.
- Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 50 minutes.
- Uncover and stir the potatoes gently.
- Broil for about 5 minutes or until golden and crispy.
- Serve hot.
