Description

A comforting side dish of crispy potatoes and sweet, caramelized onions perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 5 pounds red potatoes (sliced thinly or cut into cubes)
  • 1 onion (chopped finely)
  • 1 slice of bacon (diced)
  • 1/2 cup butter (cubed)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Prepare your baking dish: Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Arrange the potato slices or cubes evenly in the greased dish.
  4. Add chopped onions and diced bacon on top of the potatoes.
  5. Top with cubed butter.
  6. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.
  7. Bake for 50 minutes.
  8. Uncover and stir the potatoes gently.
  9. Broil for about 5 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  10. Serve hot.
