Description

A decadent chocolate cake filled with juicy strawberries and a rich cream cheese layer, perfect for any celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded coconut (optional)
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • Whipped cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch pan generously.
  2. Mix the batter: In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Beat until smooth, approximately 2-3 minutes.
  3. Prepare the filling: In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until creamy and smooth.
  4. Layer the cake: Pour half of the chocolate cake batter into the greased pan.
  5. Add the filling: Spoon dollops of the cream cheese mixture over the batter and gently swirl. Add chopped strawberries, and sprinkle with optional coconut, nuts, or chocolate chips.
  6. Top it off: Pour the remaining chocolate cake batter over everything.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serve warm or at room temperature with whipped cream.
