Description

Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry (thawed)
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (sliced)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (beaten for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • Whipped cream (optional for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into rectangles about 5×4 inches.
  3. Combine your sliced strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl.
  4. Place a spoonful of the strawberry mixture on one half of each pastry rectangle.
  5. Fold the other half over and press to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges.
  6. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
  7. Arrange the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
