Description

A delightful Teriyaki Shrimp Rice Bowl featuring succulent shrimp, fluffy jasmine rice, creamy avocado, and fresh cilantro, all drizzled with a savory teriyaki glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 pound jumbo shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Kosher salt
  • Pepper
  • Blackstone Sweet Teriyaki seasoning blend (optional)
  • Cooking oil of choice
  • 2 (8-ounce) microwave pouches Jasmine rice
  • 1 large avocado (sliced)
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 2 lime wedges
  • Sauce of choice: yum yum sauce, sriracha, spicy mayo, more teriyaki sauce

Instructions

  1. Marinate the shrimp: Pat the shrimp dry and place them in a bowl along with the teriyaki sauce, minced garlic, a pinch of kosher salt, and pepper. Toss until well coated and let it marinate for 5 to 10 minutes.
  2. Preheat your cooking surface: Heat your skillet or Blackstone griddle to medium heat (around 400 degrees). Add your preferred cooking oil.
  3. Cook the shrimp: Add the marinated shrimp along with the marinade to the skillet. Sauté for about 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until they turn pink and opaque.
  4. Prepare the rice: Pop the jasmine rice pouches in the microwave, following package instructions.
  5. Assemble your bowls: Layer the fluffy rice as your base and top it with the cooked shrimp, sliced avocado, cilantro, a squeeze of lime, and sauce of choice.

Notes

For a deeper flavor, marinate the shrimp up to 24 hours in advance. Feel free to customize with seasonal vegetables or alternate proteins.
